JIHLAVAN, a. s., was found in 1952 and since then has grown into a modern industrial enterprise. Today it is a joint stock company with registered stock of 284 million CZK. Its main activities are traditionally focused on the development, production and services of aircraft and mobile hydraulics. Almost 11.000 airplanes have been equipped with actuators, valves, accumulators, etc. from our company.

The production was initially started with licensed programmes for the aircrafts IL-10, Yak-14, IL-14, etc. For MiG-15, MiG-19 and MiG-21 the components were already supplied under our own brand.

Naturally our company proceeded in the research, development and production of its own hydraulic devices and whole systems, which found implementation in a range of aircrafts, such as L-200 Morava, Z-37, Z-137 Čmelák, L-29 Delfin, L-39 Albatros, L-59, L-139 and in the light business aircraft L-410 TURBOLET. Servo-systems, using electronic elements were also developed in our company, as for instance for the regional airliner L-610. We are currently delivering more than 40 types of hydraulic devices for the light fighter L-159 as well as the cannon scoop actuator and the air brakes actuators for the Swedish fourth generation supersonic fighter SAAB JAS 39 Grippen. Our company is also a guarantee in the development programs for the hydraulic systems for the single-engine, eight-seat business aircraft Ae270 Ibis and for the new generation twin utility aircraft EV-55. Our production has found application also in the mobile and medical industries.

PRODUCTION PROGRAM

Our production is divided into two main branches:

Aircraft hydraulics

• Hydraulic actuators, valves and accumulators for actuating systems;
• Very high-precision parts: hubs for two-, three- and five-blade propellers;
  components for fuel control systems and aircraft engines.

Mobile hydraulics

• Tractors - steering cylinders, valves, distributors, etc.;
• Trucks – tilt cab systems;
• Medical – hydraulic jacks for hospital beds, chairs, tables, etc.

Besides its traditional products, our company cooperates with a range of partners in the field of precision machining, assembly and testing of components made of special materials (titanium, inconels, etc.).
