The company Quittner & Schimek s. r. o. is top Czech supplier of interconnect components and complete assemblies for aerospace and military applications. Company most growing activity is production and assembly of:
- wire harnesses;
- electrical boxes and panels;
- custom cables for customers from the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and the U. K.
The workshop has 1 200 sqm with 45 employees. It is using modern production and testing equipment. The company was founded in 1991 as a distributor of electronic components for demanding applications in area of:
- Aerospace ;
- Military;
- Transport;
- Telecommunications.
The product assortment has been developed into four groups of components:
- Connectors, backshells, wires, cables, tools and accessories for wire harness assembly and installation;
- Relays, contactors and switches;
- Power supplies and DC/DC converters;
- Displays, display modules, controllers and single board computers.
Over the years, the company established credible reputation and become a reliable partner for most Czech and Slovak aerospace and military projects. The company does not offer delivery of the parts only, but also large customer support and training.
Connectors assembly
Based on long term co-operation with Amphenol, company Quittner & Schimek become certified assembler of Amphenol´s circular connectors under specification MIL-DTL-38999 Series 1, 2, 3 and SJT, MIL-C-26482 Series 1-Solder as 62GB Series and MIL-C-26482 Series 1-Crimp as 162GB Series, MIL-C-26482 Series 2 MATRIX and MIL-DTL-5015 MATRIX with Rear Release Crimp Contacts. Backshells and Protection caps are also assembled. Company is listed in QPL from the year 2001.
Fibre optics
Quittner & Schimek has invested in the development of new fiber optic program. A sister company SQS Vláknová optika was developed from Quittner & Schimek in 1994. It specializes in fiber optic connectors and assemblies, mainly for telecommunication applications, but its capability and potential is very large. MIL/AERO fiber optics contacts and connectors are also assembled.
